360 Immersive VR / virtual reality 360 video and Cardboard mode support are added using WebXR, any Html5 video is supported including Mpeg Dash, HLS Native and HLS.JS, turn your device into a virtual reality video machine, this feature allows using Cardboard goggles or VR hardware like Oculus Rift or HTC Vive to display a VR 360 video scene, video tutorial here.
This example displays the usage of 360° video sources. WebXR and Cardboard mode support is added using WebXR, any Html5 is supported including Mpeg Dash and HLS Native, and HLS.JS.
In the first example to enter the immersive-VR / VR mode click the goggles button, it is also possible to open VR when the play button is used as it can be seen in the second example.
For phones enable VR by providing pose information and allowing the WebGL scene to be rendered side by side to be placed in a headset like the Cardboard.
For desktop computers can make use of tethered VR hardware such as the Oculus Rift or HTC Vive to display the VR scene.
For standalone VR Headsets enable VR by rendering the scene using the platform's VR capabilities.
